How many square feet are in 1 square metre?
1 square metre equals 10.7639 square feet. To convert sqm to sqft, multiply by 10.7639; to convert sqft to sqm, divide by 10.7639 (or multiply by 0.0929).
How do I write an AED amount in words on a cheque or contract?
Write the whole dirhams in words followed by "Dirhams", then any fils, and end with "Only". For example, AED 45,250.50 is written "Forty-Five Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dirhams and Fifty Fils Only".
How is price per square foot calculated?
Divide the property price by its area in square feet. A AED 650,000 apartment of 1,000 sqft is AED 650 per sqft. Multiply by 10.7639 to get the price per square metre.
Is VAT charged on real estate agent commission in the UAE?
Yes. Agent commission is a service and attracts 5% UAE VAT. A 2% commission on a AED 1,000,000 sale is AED 20,000 plus AED 1,000 VAT, for AED 21,000 in total.
What is FAR and how do I calculate GFA from plot area?
FAR (floor area ratio) is the multiple of the plot area that can be built as gross floor area. GFA = plot area × FAR. A 1,000 sqm plot with a FAR of 4 allows 4,000 sqm (about 43,056 sqft) of GFA.
